Safeguarding adults and children

Enfield CCG has a statutory responsibility to ensure that the health services and the provider organisations we commission provide a safe system that safeguards children and vulnerable adults.

Enfield CCG is a member of the Enfield Local Safeguarding Children Board (LSCB) and the Enfield Safeguarding Adults Board (LSAB). As members of these boards, we work in partnership with the local authority to fulfil their safeguarding responsibilities and to ensure that there are effective NHS safeguarding arrangements across the local health community.

For further information about safeguarding children please see the Enfield CCG safeguarding children policy.
For further information about safeguarding adults please see the Enfield CCG safeguarding adults policy.

Safeguarding adults

Safeguarding adults means protecting vulnerable people who may be at risk of abuse – find out more about safeguarding adults.

If you feel someone is at immediate risk and the situation is urgent, please call the police on 999 (112 from a mobile).

If you suspect someone is being abused – please visit the Enfield Council website and complete a Report Adult Abuse Referral Form or contact the Enfield Safeguarding Adults Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH).

Safeguarding children

Safeguarding children is everyone's business and we all have a role to play to ensure children and young people are kept safe from abuse or neglect.

Single Point of Entry (SPOE) is a multi-agency service and is the single point of contact for concerns regarding children and young people in Enfield. The focus of the SPOE is to work across partner agencies ensuring families receive early help in order to reduce the need for statutory intervention.

If a child is in immediate danger please call the police on 999 (112 from a mobile).

If you are worried that a child may be at risk, please contact the SPOE.
