Joint Strategic Needs Assessment

Local authorities and health, through local clinical commissioning groups have a duty to prepare a Joint Strategic Needs Assessment to inform the way in which decisions about health, wellbeing and social care services are planned and arranged.

The Health and Wellbeing Board is responsible for developing the Joint Strategic Needs Assessment and for using this information and intelligence to develop and then publish a joint health and wellbeing strategy.

The Joint Strategic Needs Assessment is the collection and collation of information and intelligence about the health and wellbeing needs of the local community. This includes information about what are referred to as the 'wider determinants' of health, like housing, income, employment, social and recreational needs and provision.

The Joint Strategic Needs Assessment is available to view via the Enfield Council website.
