A new, modern building will replace the current outdated poor quality buildings to provide first class working facilities for staff and a welcoming and accessible environment for patients and visitors.
As part of the Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Clinical Strategy implementation, a wide range of services providing high quality care, will continue to be available for local people at the site including: an urgent care centre, elective (non-emergency) care, diagnostics, out-patients, a children’s assessment unit, planned elective surgery and postoperative care, an older persons’ assessment unit and rehabilitation facilities.
Dr Mo Abedi, local GP and Chair of Enfield CCG, said:
"We are delighted that the planning application has been approved and that work can now get underway at the Chase Farm Hospital site. We believe the redevelopment will be of great benefit to the community and to local healthcare.
Enfield CCG is committed to commissioning high quality and sustainable health services for the people of Enfield. We will continue to work closely with the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust to ensure that the new building plans meet the needs of local residents.”
