The North Central London (NCL) Joint Health Overview and Scrutiny Committee (JHOSC) - which covers Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey and Islington - is inviting evidence related to the NCL Sustainability and Transformation Plan.
The Committee would like to hear people’s views, ambitions and concerns about current local health and care provision across North Central London.
Two special meetings of the JHOSC have been arranged in December for the Committee to consider evidence. On 9 December the Committee would like to hear from stakeholders and on 14 December the Committee would like to hear from community organisations and members of the public.
The focus of the two special meetings will be to receive and gather evidence in response to the draft NCL STP plan that was submitted to NHS England on 21 October 2016. Following these meetings, the Committee will submit a report to the STP Transformation Board outlining the Committee’s findings based on the evidence provided.
Interested parties are invited to submit written or verbal evidence to the Committee. The Committee is keen to hear from organisations and people around the following (but not limited to) key eight themes of the NCL STP:
- Outcomes including better public and mental health
- Adult social care
- Digital services.
Written evidence may be submitted by 5pm on Tuesday 6 December. Evidence will be collated and sent to all members of the committee prior to the first special meeting. Evidence will be non-attributable.
Verbal evidence may be heard at one of the two special meetings. If you would like to provide verbal evidence to the committee, please submit an expression of interest by email to email@example.com by noon, Friday 2 December providing a short summary of the key points you wish to make at the meeting. As we anticipate a large number of speakers, requests will be prioritised to allow the Committee to hear from a wide range of stakeholders. Any requests for verbal evidence that the Committee will not have time to hear, will be informed later that Friday and offered the option to submit written evidence for consideration by the committee.
If the verbal evidence is accepted, the speaker(s) will be invited to one of the two meetings and be allocated five minutes to address the Committee and provide their evidence. Panel members will then have up to 10 minutes to ask questions.
Members of the public are welcome to attend both meetings:
Friday 9 December, 10:00 – 12.30
First special meeting of evidence gathering (stakeholders) at Camden Town Hall, Judd Street, WC1H 9JE.
Wednesday 14 December, 17:00 – 19:30pm
Second special meeting of evidence gathering (community organisations and members of the public) at Camden Town Hall, Judd Street, WC1H 9JE.
If you have any queries about the special meetings please contact Policy Officer, Sarah Moyies on 020 7974 4129 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
